Problem with Merge and user fields
HI Xavier, I think I may have found a bug with LogMX. It's to do with how user defined fields are dealt with during the Merge process. It looks like that Merge is ignoring the fields. The fields seem to be recognized by the system, but Merge will not work with them. That is, it does not display them...

Re: Auto merge of tailed log files
Hi Xavier, Well - that would be nice too - but it's not what I'm thinking of. Sorry if my initial post wasn't so clear on this requirement. This was what I was thinking of .... 1. I can select 20 distributed Coherence log files, and have tailing turned on for them so they are continually updating. 2...

Auto merge of tailed log files
Hi Xavier, I have a new request for you - once that would be very powerful indeed (I think!). Would it be possible for LogMX to tail a number of log files, then automatically append those results to a merged 'file'. The idea here is that we could tail all of our cluster log files, and keep growing t...

Saving LogMX changes immediately
Hi Xavier, Yet another suggestion. :D I have noticed that when making any changes to the config for LogMX, I need to exit the program before they are 'saved'. On one or two occasions, when I have changed the config then done something that caused LogMX to shut down (ie. out of RAM! - opening too man...

Scaled, server based LogMX
Hi Xavier, I have a question about how LogMX (or components of LogMX) could be used in a (multi) server situation. Here is the scenario : We have hundreds of users who want to view logs / merged log files. Each one of them having their own version of LogMX presents a resource issue - large numbers o...

Multiple environment/workspace tabs in LogMX
Hi Xavier, I have a few more requests for you, if that's OK. I am using LogMX to view logs over a number of different Coherence Grids. What would be very nice is a upper level 'tab' that I could name, that would then contain child tabs for the windows for that specific Coherence Grid's log files. Th...

Re: Setting up parser to timestamp GC CMS Logs
Hi Xavier, *Many* Thanks for that mate! I used your example (using NetBeans) and it works a treat! Terrific. :D Just an idea - but I think it would be good if you included such parsers (or perhaps, a library of parsers) with LogMX. The reason I say this is because, even though I am knowledgeable in ...

Re: Problem: Optional "Message" field
HI Firefighter,
Did you try to use a simple parser, using ':' as a delimiter?
I'm new to LogMX as well, so I hope this is useful.
Cheers,
Adrian.

Add > >= < <= filters for the ID column
Hi There,
This is a simple request - but it would be very useful if you could add this please.
For the ID column, if you could add filters for <, <=, >, >= .
Thanks,
Adrian.

Setting up parser to timestamp GC CMS Logs
HI Guys, I would greatly appreciate if someone could me please. I am using the 2.0.2 Pro version (awesome program, by the way!), and would like to create timestamp entries (so I can merge from a number of files). However, I'm having some trouble with specifying a timestamp that is made up of seconds...
