Re: Show entries before/after filtered entries
Some other ideas: Display a notice/colour in the filter bar to indicate that additional lines not matching the filter are being shown. This way the log entries displayed do not need to be modified. Add another column to the log entries table and indicate in there which entries match the filter and w...

Option to choose whether to open 32 or 64-bit version by default
When installing a new version of LogMX, it overwrites the registry key Command at Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LightySoft\LogMX to point to the 32-bit version (LogMX.exe). This means that after each installation, I have to manually edit the registry key to point to LogMX-64.exe instead. Can ...

Regex in filter search
Would it be possible to allow regex expressions in filters?
This would allow filters to be created for more complex search queries.

Re: Show entries before/after filtered entries
I can think of a few options, though I'm not sure how well each of these would work in practice: Making the entries that do not match the filter a "lighter" colour than those that do match the filter. Adjusting the opacity of non-matching entries. Defining a new colour for the non-matching entries.

Show entries before/after filtered entries
It is sometimes useful to be able to see a few entries before or after each entry that matches the filter criteria. For example, suppose there are log entries like the following: a b c d e If I filter the results with "Message contains" = c, I get: c Could a feature be added to be able to specify ho...

Re: The entry details pane size is not persisted
After opening and closing LogMX, the value of rightSplitPos=1385. I am closing LogMX using the the red "x" on the window; the process is not being killed via task manager (running Windows). I performed a different experiment and found some interesting behaviour. If I modify the height of the entry d...

Re: The entry details pane size is not persisted
Hi Xavier, The file "<logmx_dir>/config/logmx.properties" does get updated after resizing the entry details pane (adjusting the height). The value that gets changed is rightSplitPos, but the height always reverts back to some default height. It looks like the value is written out, but perhaps a defa...

The entry details pane size is not persisted
(Reproducible in v5.5.0)
Resize the entry details pane to fit all entry details. Close LogMX. When LogMX is re-opened, the entry details pane reverts to its original size.

Re: Currently selected log entry lost when hiding emitter
Your first interpretation is correct - the entries table should be automatically scrolled to the point where A would be visible in step 4.

Log entry status bar update issue
(Reproducible in version 5.4.4) Open two separate log files (with different line counts) in two separate tabs. Select one line in the first tab; note that the number of displayed/selected log entries is reported in the status bar at the bottom. Change to the second tab: the log entries status bar is...
