Authentication Error with 3.0.2

Post by timdw5s »

Hi,

I have been successfully using LogMX for years no. I am using 1.3.2 and am able to login and retrieve log files using SCP, SFTP. When I switched to a new version of logMX 3.0.2 I cannot authenticate against the server using the same settings. Any ideas?

Hello,

Sorry but I don't see what can cause this.
The SFTP/SCP library used by LogMX is the same between v1.3.2 and v3.0.2.

Yet, here are a few ideas:
  1. Have you tried starting LogMX v3.0.2 after having moving your config file away so that you use default settings? ("logmx.properties" in LogMX "config/" directory)
  2. Have you tried connecting from LogMX v3.0.2 to your SFTP/SCP server using Private key authentication method (new in v3.0.1)?
  3. Have you tried back with LogMX v1.3.2 after v3.0.2 failed? (maybe several authentication error with v3.0.2 locked your SFTP/SCP account)
Else, could you please post here the error you get with v3.0.2?

Xavier.
