Create a filter based on a field

Post by joost »

Right-click on table entry allows to hide emitter or copy field. Add an option to create a filter based on that field. Now I have to select "Copy field" and create a filter manually.

Hello,

Good idea!
We will provide two new options (in a new popup sub-menu):
  • "Display entries having this value as <<name_of_clicked_field>>"
  • "Display entries not having this value as <<name_of_clicked_field>>"
Once this option is clicked, a new filter will be added to the existing filter (using "equals" or "not equals" operator depending on the clicked option).
Does that sound good to you?

Thank you!

Yep, sounds good! Additionally, would it be possible to have the filter be active *without* showing all the filter conditions? Especially if there are multiple filter conditions, they take up too much screen space.

Hello,

LogMX v5.5.1 is now released and it includes these two features :) (fast filter creation + filters panel hide-able).
Thank you for your ideas!
