Cannot move from v2.0.3 Pro to v2.1.1 Pro

Postby salvo » Thu Jun 09, 2011 8:45 pm

I successfully installed v2.1.1 and ran it. However, after preserving some files/folders as mentioned here, no matter what bookmarked file I try to open, I always get a java dump

v2.0.3 does not give me this problem. Windows command line 'java -version' produces

Code: Select all

java version "1.6.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_25-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.0-b11, mixed mode, sharing)

Hello,

We have reproduced this bug: it's a regression from v2.1.0 to v2.1.1. We have now fixed this in the current version which should be available at the end of June.

In the meantime, here is a simple workaround: in the "Bookmarks" dialog, click on the bookmark to fix, click on the "Edit bookmark" button at the right, then simply click OK on the new dialog that just appeared (it will convert this bookmark to the new LogMX v2.1.1 format). Your bookmark will now work (you may want to restart LogMX once you fixed all your old bookmarks in order to save your fixed config file to disk).

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Xavier.

I've got the same problem. However, when I edit my bookmarks, click OK, then exit LogMX, the file is saved to disk, but all my sftp:// urls get truncated. They come in as:

sftp://user

Hello,

Yes, it's indeed a known bug in v3.0.0 (viewtopic.php?p=456) which is now fixed in v3.0.1 that will be release in a few weeks.
In the meantime, you may want to use the "Recent files" item of "File" menu, or make your config file "config/logmx.properties" in read-only mode to prevent your bookmarks from being truncated.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
